What is the cost associated with becoming a real estate agent?
States require people to sit for a mandatory training course and pass a state licensing exam.
Tru Realty’s tuition cost is $995, which includes all mandatory schooling as well as additional training. Your state will charge an exam and license fee which can run approximately $75 and $60 respectively which is not included.
What is different about Tru Realty’s training and education program?
Simply put, Tru’s industry leading structured training curriculum is second to none. Your leaders and trainers will walk you through your first three transactions (The Fundamentals), and then teach you more advanced strategy and work alongside you for your next ten transactions (The Academy). We are committed to your success through emerging technologies and superior education.
What is the timeline for getting licensed in real estate?
While there is no exact timeline for everyone, most students get through real estate school and pass their exam within two weeks to six months. All study is self-paced and largely dependent on your timeline, scheduling, availability and motivation.
How soon will I close my first deal?
Tru Realty’s new agents are averaging 90 days to close their first deal. This is at least 50% faster than the competition, which is around 6-9 months.
Are there any requirements to become a real estate agent?
Yes. You must go to real estate school for a required number of hours and pass your state licensing exam.
Is a real estate job a get rich quick solution?
No. It’s really hard, if not impossible to get rich quickly doing anything. Every overnight success is preceded by years of hard work. However, if you are willing to work hard, be disciplined and are dedicated it can be a very lucrative, life-long career.

What if I can’t afford real estate school but want to become an agent?
Great news! There are many solutions available to you from our partners like PayPal Credit, Discover credit card, Capital One credit card and others. In addition, Tru Realty offers a payment plan to better assist you.

You bet! Many agents have found it to be a great source of supplemental or passive income. We have a lot of professionals who work in similar affiliated careers such as architecture, design, development and banking. We also have people who have taken a step back from their primary career to start a family as well as those who are exiting successful careers and are looking for more flexibility, better hours or greater rewards for their effort.
How else can a real estate license be used?
